LAST DAY TO WITHDRAW
The last day to withdraw from classes and receive a "W" (withdrawal) on your record is October 29, 2008. After that, any withdrawal of classes will result in an "F" (failure) on your record. If you plan to withdraw from class, make sure you are still maintaining full course load as is required by immigration.

UALERT
The university has devised a system that allows officials to quickly disseminate an urgent message through voice mail, email, and text-messaging to registered users soon after an emergency affects the university campus. That system is called UAlert.
Individuals who register with UAlert will have control over which communication channels they will receive the alerts and the priority in which they receive them. Registration is simple and your participation could save your life and the lives of many of your friends on campus. Every student, faculty, or staff member will soon receive an email invitation to register with the UAlert system. The email provides a link for the registration process. Following the simple instructions will register you for this crucial information system.
The website (www.uah.edu/ualert ) includes a frequently asked questions (FAQ) page and additional contacts if you have questions. Also, the UAHuntsville Help Desk can also provide assistance if needed. You can call them at 824.3333.
