LAST DAY TO RESERVE GUEST TICKETS, FRIDAY OCTOBER 17TH:
If you are planning to invite a guest to the Fall Graduation Ceremony, you must reserve tickets to do so. The LAST DAY TO RESERVE TICKETS IS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17TH. See the commencement website for instructions on how to reserve guest tickets.
If you are not inviting a guest, you MUST REGISTER for Ceremony participation. To register, you have to complete the student survey. The directions are below and listed on the commencement website:
1. Login to Student Web Access Account
2. Click: enter secure area
3. Enter user id and password
4. Click: Personal Information
5. Click: Answer Survey
6. Click: Graduation Attendance Survey
If you submitted an application for graduation, you should have received a detailed email to your UAH email account explaining how to reserve tickets. It is your responsibility to check your UAH email account and read any correspondence from the University.
NOVEMBER CAREER SERIES:
Introducing our first International Student Career Series! Want to find a job after graduation? Interested in learning more about U.S. resume writing, professional dress, interviewing tips, job searching and H1B sponsorship? The ISSO will be conducting a series of 3 workshops to address career development issues. F1 student's on OPT have an unemployment limit of 90 days. The Career Series is designed to prepare F1 students for job searching, therefore, reducing the limit of unemployment days while on OPT.
Workshop Schedule:
Workshop #1 Building a Competitive Resume - learn how to write a competitive U.S. resume, curriculum vita and cover letter.
When: November 7th 3:30-4:15 pm *

Workshop #2 Interviewing for the Job - Interviewing tips, professional dress and job searching.
When: November 14th 3:30- 4:15pm *

Workshop #3 Immigration Attorney: Steve Springer - Mr. Springer will be discussing work options after OPT, H1B sponsorship and answering your questions. This is a workshop you do not want to miss. International Student Advisors do not offer H1 B employment advice. This is your chance to get your questions answered by a qualified immigration attorney.
