NOVEMBER CAREER SERIES:

This career series is not just for seniors or students who are graduating. It is never to early to start building your resume and job preparation. There are many things that students can get involved in early in their academic career that will help them obtain jobs later on!

Introducing our first International Student Career Series! Want to find a job after graduation? Interested in learning more about U.S. resume writing, professional dress, interviewing tips, job searching and H1B sponsorship? The ISSO will be conducting a series of 3 workshops to address career development issues. F1 student's on OPT have an unemployment limit of 90 days. The Career Series is designed to prepare F1 students for job searching, therefore, reducing the limit of unemployment days while on OPT.

When: November 7th 3:30-4:15 pm *

***Please show up to ALL workshops ON TIME. We will begin promptly at the listed time.

HARVEST DINNER
Harvest Dinner, as many of you know, began as a way for the UAH community to provide a traditional American style Thanksgiving meal to the international students and others in the UAH community who may not be able to have a Thanksgiving meal with their families. Harvest Dinner will again serve as the kick off event to celebrate International Education Week.

November 17th from 4:30-7:30 pm the Harvest Dinner will be held in the Baptist Student Center (located at the corner of Holmes Avenue and Sparkman Drive). Come for great traditional American food, prizes and fellowship!

TRAVEL SIGNATURE DAY
F1 students who will travel outside of the U.S. after fall semester must get a signature from an international student advisor on pg. 3 of the I-20 before leaving the U.S.
Once again, we are planning a special travel event to make getting a travel signature FUN and EASY! We will provide free food and prizes and we will sign I-20's on that day.

Our travel event will be November 26th. More details for time and location will be shared in upcoming announcements
