Fall 2011 Off-Campus Employment Workshop Dates Announced
Visit the form using the link below and sign up today, 9 workshop dates have been opened and the next workshop is Thursday September 22nd, each workshop is limited to the first 10 registered students.
Spring 2012 Spring Break Trip to Washington DC from Huntsville: March 18 - 24 2012
SGA is Sponsoring a fantastic Spring Break trip to our nations capitol! The trip cost is $100 but students interested in going must turn in a $25 deposit to save a space. Limited spaces remain, half of the slots are already full. Students who have a SSN need to share that with SGA, students without an SSN are still able to go but must provide a photocopy of the passport page. (This will be used for the White House visit.) The group will also visit Congress and other famous landmarks.
All students on an F-1 visa are encouraged to carry passports on the trip to DC and should verify that they have a valid passport (at least 6 months of validity) from March 2012 (expiring no earlier than September 2012)
A $25 deposit will hold your spot, the remainder due on or before February 15, 2012. Hurry - space is limited! Payment made in UC 106A - deadline to register September 30 or when spots are full!
Reminder: Graduation Application Deadlines
Graduation application deadlines are fast approaching. The deadline was September 1, 2011 for Fall 2011 Graduate students and is on October 3, 2011 for Spring 2012 Undergraduate students. Late fees for those who do not register and pay by the deadline will be applied.
Grad Fair
Students planning to participate in the graduation ceremony in December 2011 (fall graduation) should plan to attend the "GRAD FAIR". There will be a variety of on-campus and off-campus representatives who will help each student prepare for graduation & BEYOND.
Grad Fair will be held in the University Bookstore (basement of the UC): Tuesday, September 27, 4-7pm, and Wednesday, September 28, 11am to 2pm
International Festival - Mark Your Calendars for Saturday October 29th 2011
The second annual International Festival on UAH campus will be held on Saturday October 29th. Students who would like to set up a table display and/or perform at the Festival are encouraged to contact Belinda Ong,ongb@uah.edu, to learn more. Please contact her no later than October 1, performances and groups are being set-up now in preparation for the event.
Student participation is needed to make this event a success. Students from Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America are encouraged to participate and reflect our diverse population at UAHuntsville. This event is open to the public and additional details will be posted on the ISSO blog.
