As a reminder, the International Student and Scholar Office is open until Wednesday December 22 when the office (and the University) will close for winter break. The office will reopen on January 3, 2011 but ask that you please visit an advisor beforehand regarding any spring 2011 concerns. This is a great time to sit with an advisor and have questions answered. International student advisors will be extremely busy the first week after winter break and will give priority to new students and their orientation activities. Please note that we will not have walk-in advising hours January 4 & 5.
As a reminder, walk-in advising hours are
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
*Also, when the University is closed from Thursday December 23 to Monday January 3 advisors will be reading visahelp@uah.edu and try to respond accordingly should anyone have an emergency. Please title the email appropriately with "emergency" and all pertinent details. All non-urgent issues will wait until after orientation for spring 2011 incoming students is complete.
