LABOR DAY HOLIDAY

The University will be closed Monday September 6, 2010 for Labor Day. There will be no classes and the International Student and Scholar Office will be closed. Enjoy the long weekend!

THINKING ABOUT AUDITING A CLASS?

Auditing a class does NOT count toward maintaining full-time enrollment for immigration purposes. Academic transcripts will show enrollment in audit classes BUT no grade is assigned when a class is assigned as “audit”. Only classes assigned a grade (either pass or failing) count toward full-time status for immigration purposes.

OFF CAMPUS EMPLOYMENT - FALL WORKSHOPS

F-1 students must have permission from immigration to work off campus. Off campus employment includes internships, Cooperative Education or other paid training that is not on the UAHuntsville campus. We offer employment workshops to help ensure you understand your options available. Students MUST attend a workshop before an advisor can meet with you to discuss your individual questions. Email visahelp@uah.edu to reserve a space in a workshop (space is limited to 10 students).

ALL workshops will be held in the UC room 132 (small room on the back hallway of the UC BEHIND the lobby).

September 10 from 1:00-2:30pm
September 22 from 9:00-10:30am
September 27 from 3:00-4:30pm
October 15 from 2:00-3:30pm
October 27 from 11:00am-12:30pm
November 12 from 1:30-3:00pm
December 6 from 1:00-2:30pm

DEGREE APPLICATION DEADLINES

The application deadline for a Bachelor’s degree (Spring 2011) is October 1. The application deadline for an advanced degree (Spring 2011) is February 1. A $50 non-refundable application fee must accompany each application.

Visit Charger Central (UC 118) for enrollment verification (used for Drivers License, Inviting a visitor, and UC Fitness Center)



Walk-in advising hours reminder: No appointment needed to meet with an advisor during these times. Outside of these times, you must have an appointment to meet with an advisor.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00am to 12:00pm (Noon)
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 1:30-4:00pm
